He leverages his deep expertise, trial and courtroom skills, tenacity, and innovative approach to deliver extraordinary results for clients in complex cases in Colorado and across the United States. Brad has been recognized as “Colorado’s Best Bankruptcy Attorney” by Law Week Colorado. He is a co-author of the best-selling American Bar Association book, Injunctive Relief: Temporary Restraining Orders and Preliminary Injunctions.

Brad’s experience spans the financial and legal turmoil of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the dot-com bubble, the Great Recession, the 2014 oil price crash, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Through these periods, Brad has represented national and regional banks, private lenders and equity investors, Chapter 11 creditors’ committees, mall owners, technology companies, national franchisors, investment banking and securities companies, professional sports franchises, court-appointed receivers, bankruptcy trustees, and construction and other trade vendors in cases across a broad range of industries, including financial services and FinTech, oil and gas, agriculture, aviation, telecom, consumer retail, commercial real estate, solar and wind, health care, professional sports, restaurant and hospitality, and transportation. Brad has also successfully argued before the Colorado Supreme Court to obtain the Court’s unanimous reversal of a client’s criminal conviction on First Amendment grounds.

Before establishing his firm, Brad assisted clients at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP (2009–2022) and Holme Roberts & Owen LLP – now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP – (2001–2009). He served as a Judicial Law Clerk to Chief Bankruptcy Judge Charles E. Matheson (1999) and Chief Bankruptcy Judge Donald E.
